For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:16-17

THE
INCONVENIENT MARRIAGE OF CHARLOTTE BECK
by
KATHLEEM Y'BARBO

ISBN:  9780307444820
paperback, 337 pages
WaterBrook Press

Charlotte Beck was a young woman that usually got what ever she wanted and she was tired of listening to Miss Pence in telling her how to become a lady for the society.  She did not want to wear the "Corset" and have to walk as though she had an egg on her head.  She was at a party such as she had been trained for and felt as though she was going to faint with that dreaded corset on so she slipped behind a curtain so that she could get some fresh air.  It was a window and she was trying to get out it when she fell straight into the arms of a young gentleman (Alex) that was out looking for Jacob's comet that was supposed to be seen that night.  Colonel Cody of the Wild Bill west show was a very good friend of her family and he was at this party.  He later let her be in the show alone with her step-mother and they almost lost out of the Society group of people.

Charlotte loved to paint and she had some great paintings all over her father's house and she loved to paint the sky at night.  Her father wanted to set her up with a young man to marry but she wanted to go on to school and learn how to help him in his business.  Her father offered Danial a deal that he could not pass up as his family had already lost all their money and he needed something to keep them afloat so his mother and twin brother would not loose everything they had.

This really was a good read as all of Kathleen's books are with some fun blended in.  This book was sent to me by Blogging for Books for my review.
